What happens to your information when you use LedgerKit.
Who is responsible for your information
Jamhawks Trading Ltd is the controller for the personal information described in this policy. Our company and registered office details appear below. Email jamhawkstrading@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
Calculator data stays in your browser
Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser memory. We do not send them to Google Analytics or save them in cookies, browser storage or an account. Refreshing or leaving the page clears the calculation. LedgerKit has no user accounts or saved calculations.
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people use LedgerKit so we can improve the site. Google Analytics may collect a random browser identifier, pages viewed, events such as calculator completions, scrolls and outbound-link clicks, the referring page, approximate location, and browser and device information. A calculator-completion event identifies only which calculator was completed. We do not send calculator entries or results, names, email addresses or a User ID. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.

We rely on your consent for optional analytics. The Google tag is not loaded and no analytics request is sent until you choose “Allow analytics”. We save your choice, the time it was made and the policy version in this browser for up to six months so we can honour it; that preference is not used for tracking. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Analytics settings” in the footer. LedgerKit remains fully usable when analytics is off.
When you copy, print or email us
Copying puts your chosen summary on your device’s clipboard, and printing sends it to your selected print destination. If you email us, we and our email provider, Google, process your email address, message, normal email metadata and anything else you choose to include. We use this information to answer and manage your enquiry, investigate reported errors and maintain LedgerKit. Emailing is voluntary, although we need an address and message to reply. Please do not send bank details, tax identifiers, passwords or confidential client records.
Why we use personal information
We rely on legitimate interests, where appropriate, to answer enquiries, administer LedgerKit, keep the site secure, prevent misuse and diagnose faults. Those interests are operating a reliable service and communicating with people who choose to contact us. We may also process information where necessary to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Hosting, service providers and international transfers
Cloudflare hosts and protects LedgerKit. It may process technical request information such as your IP address, request time, requested page and browser or device information to deliver and secure the site. Calculator values are not intentionally included in these requests. With consent, Google processes the optional analytics information described above; Google also processes information contained in emails sent to us. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. We rely on safeguards in the terms that apply to those services, which may include UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. How long we keep information
We do not receive or retain calculator inputs. The analytics preference saved in your browser expires after six months. If analytics is allowed, the Google Analytics cookies are configured to expire six months after they are first set and not to renew on each visit. Google Analytics event data is retained for two months and user data for up to 14 months, with the user-data period renewed when activity is recorded; standard aggregated reports may remain available for longer. We keep enquiry emails only for as long as reasonably needed to answer and manage the enquiry, including reasonable follow-up, a complaint or a legal issue. Technical request information is retained for the periods that apply to the Cloudflare hosting and security services we use.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. You may also have a right to data portability where it applies. These rights are not absolute, and an exemption may apply. Email jamhawkstrading@gmail.com to exercise a right. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity.
Your right to object
You may object at any time, for reasons connected with your situation, when we process your information on the basis of legitimate interests. We will stop unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights, or the processing is needed for legal claims. We do not use your personal information for direct marketing.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we use your personal information, email jamhawkstrading@gmail.com so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. This does not affect any other rights you may have.
Make a data-protection complaint to the ICOAutomated decisions and future changes
The calculators perform arithmetic on your device at your request. We do not use personal information for profiling or decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. If LedgerKit changes the analytics purpose, provider or information collected, we will update this policy and ask for fresh consent where required before the change takes effect.
