How LedgerKit remembers your choice and uses optional analytics cookies.
Your choice comes first
Google Analytics is optional. We do not load the Google tag, contact Google Analytics or set analytics cookies unless you choose “Allow analytics”. Choosing “Keep analytics off” does not limit any calculator or other site feature.
Remembering your preference
LedgerKit uses this browser’s local storage to save whether analytics is allowed or denied, when you made the choice and the policy version. The key is named “ledgerkit:analytics-consent:v1”. It is used only to honour your choice, not to track you, and we ask again after six months. If browser storage is unavailable or cleared, the site will ask again.
Google Analytics cookies
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies “_ga” to distinguish visitors and “_ga_MNXC2XY2CE” to maintain session information. LedgerKit configures these cookies to expire no later than six months after they are first set and not to extend their expiry on each visit. Advertising storage remains disabled.

With consent, Google Analytics measures page views and interactions such as calculator completions, scrolls and outbound-link clicks, together with the referring page, approximate location, and browser and device information. A calculator-completion event identifies only which calculator was completed. Calculator entries and results are never included. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising personalisation.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use “Analytics settings” in the footer at any time. Turning analytics off blocks future analytics collection in this browser and removes LedgerKit’s Google Analytics cookies. You can also clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser, which will make the choice panel appear again.
Hosting and private previews
The hosting platform may use essential security or authentication mechanisms, particularly when a preview is restricted to its owner. These are separate from the browser-only calculations.
